This Is The Best Car Audi Has Ever Made

Image
The 2017 A4 is the best car Audi has ever made. Yes, it's that good! No, the new A4 isn't as evocative as the R8 . Nor does it have the mind-bending performance of the RS7. The compact luxury sedan certainly doesn't have the vaunted racing pedigree of the Quattro. (The A4 has been known to hold its own as a touring car racer in Europe and the UK.) But what the A4 does have going for it is the ability to do everything Audi and its consumers need it to do with spectacular effectiveness and efficiency. The brand new A4 sedan starts at a competitive $34,900, while our option-laden test car came with an as-tested price tag of $54,275. Here's a closer look at the 2017 Audi A4. At the end of the day, does A4 offer the exhilaration and over-the-top style of its iconic Audi forefathers? No. But what the A4 does offer is world-class tech functionality, a dynamic driving experience, handsome styling, and an impressively luxurious cabin executed to the level of succ

Google's new operating system looks completely different than Android Have A Look

Image
Details about Google's new mystery operating system, Fuchsia, appeared on Ars Technica on Tuesday, which gives us a better idea of what Fuchsia is for. Based on Ars Technica's findings, Fuchsia is designed to work on "modern phones and modern personal computers with fast processors" with "non-trivial amounts of RAM." That seems like an odd move on Google's part, as Android runs perfectly well on budget devices with lesser specs. It's usually third-party apps that require speedy components to perform at their best. We've seen before that Fuchsia is built completely from the ground up, and is based on Google's own "Magenta" kernel instead of the pre-existing Linux kernel that Android is based on. A kernel is the core of an OS where the basic functions are built from. Kernels are like an empty house (Linux) where the tenant (Google) can furnish from the ground up to work, look, and feel the way it wants. By building its very own

Land Rover is celebrating the success of the Range Rover Evoque with a Landmark Special Edition. Since 2011, over 600,000 Evoques have been built at Land Rover’s Halewood plant in the U.K. The Special Edition model will make its global debut at the Royal Windsor Horse Show on May 10. It is priced at about $50,431 at current exchange rates. “What makes Evoque so special is its relevance. The design remains modern and fresh. The Evoque is widely acknowledged to have brought a whole new youthful generation of buyers into the Range Rover brand, including more women,” said Gerry McGovern, Land Rover chief design officer in a statement. “Its success was clear from the start and gave us the confidence to break new ground, which you can see with vehicles like the Evoque Convertible. This Landmark Special Edition is a celebration of six years of success so far.” Evoque Landmark receives a special Moraine Blue paint job that is inspired by the turquoise lakes of the Canadian Rocky Mou

Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox fans getting HUGE new games announcements

Image
SONY'S PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One are both set to get a big new games launch, which will also mean more support for the Xbox Scorpio and PS4 Pro. The Sony PlayStation 4 continues to dominate its console rivals in 2017. Its competitors are not standing idel though, with the Nintendo Switch posting impressive sales and Microsoft  planning to launch their own console upgrade, the Xbox Scorpio. And all the major console players are also looking to the next big gaming reveal to help sell their machines and the most recent announcement may prove very popular. Player Unknown's Battlegrounds is currently available as an Early Access game on Steam but has now been confirmed to be in development for consoles too. The team behind the hit king of the hill title is hard at work on the console version, with Microsoft's Xbox One getting it first through the Preview scheme. Battlegrounds developer Bluehole revealed the news earlier this week, although they are n

U.S. iPhone Ban?Apple Could be In Trouble

Image
Are you waiting for your favorite smartphone to be out this year it might be possible or might be not. We don't blame you. The Apple grapevine can be a labyrinth of conflicting reports. The iPhone 8's release date, for example, is still up in the air. Some are saying it be unveiled in June at the WWDC and go on sale in September while some reports are saying that due to manufacturing issues, we won't even see the iPhone 8 until 2018! Imagine that. But what if there won't be any iPhones in the U.S. at all this year? No iPhone 7s, no iPhone 7s Plus, no iPhone 8. As nightmarish as this sounds for the Apple fan, there's actually a possibility that this will happen if one former Apple partner gets its way. Apple versus Qualcomm Chipmaker Qualcomm is planning to ask a U.S. agency to ban the import of iPhones to the U.S. This is said to be in retaliation for Apple's recent decision in late April to stop licensing payments to Qualcomm. Qualcomm is the w

2018 Lexus LC 500 Is Gorgeous Take A Look

Image
Here Is All New 2018 Lexus LC 500  A recent track day we attended happened to be sponsored by Lexus, with the car on display to hopefully tempt a few customers. While we weren't allowed to move the car even a meter, Lexus did agree to let us film a quick walk around which at least allows you to see and hear this new V8 coupe. The LC 500 will be the range-topping flagship two-door for Lexus, sitting above the RC F with which it shares its 351kW/540Nm 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8. Apologies, the video says 530Nm, but it was recorded off-the-cuff. It's a wonderful engine that'll have its work cut out shifting the LC 500's 1900kg+ kerb weight, though a 10-speed automatic will do its best to compensate. Also available will be a LC 500h, which uses a 3.5-litre V6 allied to an electric motor. Lexus claims 0-100km/h in 4.5sec for the V8 and "under five seconds" for the hybrid. Pricing is not yet confirmed, however we expect the LC 500 to land around the

New Ford Mustang GT500 successor

Image
Chris Doane Now this is what you call a “boss” Mustang. A camouflaged prototype of a new high performance Mustang variant has been caught cruising the streets outside Ford’s Dearborn Development Center with what appears to be the director of the Ford Performance division, Dave Pericak behind the wheel. If it weren’t an important car, he wouldn’t be driving it. Bulky black padding and a dazzling wrap hide most of the car’s secrets, but the revealing part is where the rubber meets the road. The coupe is wearing a set of Michelin front tires that are 305 mm wide. That's the same width as the rear tires on the current Mustang Shelby GT350 and matches the fronts on the Chevy Camaro ZL1's, which are the widest in the land. This suggests that the new Mustang isn’t destined to be just a straight-line special, but is being developed with handling in mind. The wheels that those tires are wrapped around and the brakes inside of them are completely covered on the test car, but

Xbox Scorpio: New games feature revealed

Image
The Xbox Scorpio is Microsoft’s latest attempt to win back developers and boost their fortunes in the console market that is currently dominated by the PS4 and PS4 Pro. The new console has the more impressive specs, the CPU is said to be 30% faster than that of the original Xbox One, while the GPU is 4.6 times more powerful than its predecessor. Interestingly, the 8GB of memory - which is up from the 5GB found in the original Xbox One - allows the console to process art assets, making it easier to run 4K resolution visuals at higher speeds. The Xbox Scorpio will also ship with another handy console feature that will make it easier to switch from a normal base Xbox One. Company chief Phil Spencer has revealed that the Xbox Scorpio external hard drive will be able to install games. That means that fans will be able to switch over a USB HDD they’re currently using for the Xbox One, and plug it into the Xbox Scorpio for an easy install. Spencer was asked: “Will I be able

Apple iPhone X specs rumors, news and delay.

Image
Apple’s next iPhone isn’t supposed to arrive until much later in 2017, but that hasn’t stopped legions of fans from fervently speculating about it. Things may be a little different this year, as it’s the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. Rumors suggest we may see up to three models — the iPhone 7S, the 7S Plus, and the iPhone X (aka, the iPhone 8). The latter is expected to be an expensive, technical showcase phone released as a celebratory model. If you want to learn more about the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus, head over here. A lot of this information out there is up in the air, but what we’re hearing is keeping us interested. Very interested. Here’s what we’ve learned so far about the iPhone X. Naming, release date and price Despite being referred to as the iPhone 8 in many rumors, the phone may come alongside the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus in late 2017. This may confuse things for 2018, when an iPhone 8 would be more logical based on Apple’s usual naming traditions. Still, recent rumo

New 2018 Mclaren 720S:Most Beautiful Design

Image
The 720S is a beautiful, sleek GT car, possibly the most aerodynamically exciting road car to come from the U.K. since the Jaguar E-type 56 years ago. My main criticism of volume-production McLarens — all of which until now used the same basic 3.8 liter V-8 engines and carbon-fiber monocoques — has been the gaping holes in the body sides required to provide enough cooling for the hot sections within the outer envelope. This new design has a beautifully simplified outer form and a complex internal-airflow management system that permits more power than any modern McLaren has enjoyed up to now. And the company achieved it without blatant air passages seen on the racing-oriented Ford GT or the road version of the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus SCG003 GT. Most recent high-performance cars have had some kind of aerodynamic covering over their headlamps. The 720S does outline a large lighting area, so cleverly shaped and integrated into the whole that it convinces you there’s a cover. But

Jeep Brand Might Be Sold by Fiat Chrysler

Image
Fiat Chrysler Automobile might sell off the Jeep and Ram brand. As per a comment made at a press conference held to discuss FCA financial earnings for the first quarter of 2017, Sergio Marchionne admitted that the group is considering selling the brand. Currently, Jeep is Fiat Chrysler’s best brand which is growing rapidly both financially and in terms of new models. Jeep is constantly bringing new and updated UVs to the market at the global scale and it was also one of the first automakers to explore the lucrative SUV segment. To accommodate production of the Jeep Compass in India, Jeep has invested Rs. 1,800 crore at the Fiat Factory at Ranjangaon. The Indian Factory is planned to be used as a production hub for all right-hand drive markets including United Kingdom, South Africa, South East Asia, Japan and Australia. SUV accounts 40 percent of the American car market and if Jeep is sold, Fiat Chrysler Automobile would only be left with Dodge and Chrysler in the United States.

See Microsoft Surface Leaked Pictured

Verge Microsoft appears to be launching a Surface Laptop at its event in New York City tomorrow. Twitter user WalkingCat has shared several images of what is reportedly simply just "Surface Laptop," and it looks like Microsoft's answer to Google's Chromebook Pixel. The Surface Laptop will reportedly include a 13.5-inch PixelSense display and ship in four colors: platinum, burgundy, cobalt blue, and graphite gold. Verge Microsoft's laptop will also include an alcantara keyboard, the same fabric used on the premium Surface Pro 4 keyboard option. It's not clear what processor and other hardware power the Surface Laptop, but the images show that there will be a regular USB port, mini DisplayPort, and the conventional Surface power connector. Microsoft doesn't appear to be adopting USB Type-C ports for its Surface Laptop. Verge The Surface Laptop will also reportedly weigh 2.76 pounds, with a thickness of 14.47mm at the back and 9.9mm at the f

What to Expect From Tomorrow's Microsoft Event

Image
Microsoft is holding a press conference on Tuesday morning in New York City — and while the company hasn't made anything official, they've hinted at what they might reveal. Microsoft has already confirmed that the event will focus around education, which is a market that it needs to focus on as it continues to fight against Google Chromebooks and Apple iPads. Many people expect Microsoft to introduce a new "cloud" version of Windows — likely called Windows 10 Cloud — that's not as robust as the full version of Windows 10. The cloud version of Windows 10 would presumably compete against Chrome OS, which powers Chromebooks, and may let Microsoft sell more affordable computers with less powerful (and thus less expensive) processors. It's unclear exactly how Windows 10 Cloud will operate, or what sort of features may be kept or left out. Recall a few years ago Microsoft launched both Windows 8 and a watered-down version called Windows 8 RT. The latter fai

Samsung Files To Patent Wrap around Display Phone

Image
Samsung Electronics filed to patent a smartphone design depicting a handset with a fully wraparound display that covers both the front and back panel of the device, as well as its edges, as revealed by a set of documents that were recently published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In addition to a unique display, the patent also describes a particular feature that provides users with the option of quickly launching apps on any side of the phone. The documentation and accompanying illustrations detail an app drawer located on the side display panel of the smartphone from which users are able to launch apps by tapping and dragging them to the left or right in order to decide whether they want to open them on the front or back screen of the handset. The sketch of the device depicted in the illustrations accompanying Samsung’s latest patent looks somewhat similar to the compact shape a foldout phone that Samsung filed to patent with the USPTO in January.
